Beginner’s Guide To Vaping

Vaping popularity has boomed over the past few years. Many people are growing more and more interested in having the perfect vaping experience. How do you know what flavor is the right choice? There are many types of vaping devices too, and each of them is a distinct product using unique components and vape liquid (e-liquid). If you’re interested in vaping and could use some help getting started, you’re in the perfect place.

We’ve put together this beginner’s guide to vaping to help you get started on your vaping journey. From the best flavors to the right vaping device, we have you covered.

Is vaping healthy?

Before we start looking at specific vaping products, let’s take a closer look at the health risks of these tasty vape juices. As with anything, vaping can be unhealthy with overuse. It’s a great alternative to traditional smoking like cigarettes or cigars, however, and may help you kick unhealthy smoking habits with a different alternative. Millions of adults have successfully kicked their cigarette-smoking habit using vaping kits. If you want to smoke but don’t like the idea of taking up traditional cigarettes, vaping is a good option that is a bit easier on your lungs and mouth than more conventional smoking options.

Is vaping addictive?

If you opt for a vape, a type of e-cigarette, will you become addicted? To answer this, you must understand that there are a variety of different kinds of vaping options to choose from: those that contain nicotine and those that don’t. If you opt for the variety that includes nicotine, you could end up addicted. This depends on the nicotine strength and how much you use the vape, in addition to a few other factors. While vaping may be less harmful than smoking traditional cigarettes, it’s still not an ideal addiction to have.

The good news is that you don’t have to use e-liquids with nicotine. In fact, there is a wide range of starter kits on the market. Our favorites are those that offer a great vapor without addictive content like nicotine. When you use vape pens with a 0% nicotine level, you are not at risk of becoming addicted. If that is your main concern, don’t worry – you can use our vape kits with peace of mind. The only thing you’ll have to worry about is being addicted to how good they taste!

With that said, let’s look at how you can start making some of your own clouds the fun way!

What are vape liquids made of?

Before you pick from our wide range of vape devices, you probably want to know what ingredients are behind your favorite flavorings. There are two main ingredients in vape liquid:

  • Propylene glycol
  • Vegetable glycerin

That’s it! Well, not quite. There are a few other ingredients, of course, but they vary from vape pen to vape pen. Some cartridges contain added flavor, for example, while others have no taste at all.

Types of vape devices

When you look for vape kits for the first time, you will find two main styles: refillable and disposable. These kits have many of the same contents, but there is one main difference to keep in mind. Refillable vaping devices are meant to be reused multiple times.

What's the difference between a disposable and a refillable device?

A disposable vape device, on the other hand, is meant to be a one-use item. A starter kit with a disposable e-cig pen features a disposable device, vape juice, and a disposable cartridge. A refillable starter kit has the same contents, but the tank or pod is meant to be refilled and often has better performance as a result when compared to disposables.

More specifically, a refillable device has both a rechargeable battery and a refillable tank. Once the tank or pod is empty, you can add more vape liquid inside, or potentially change flavors if you’d like. Some disposable devices have rechargeable batteries, but they do not have refillable tanks. Once the liquid is gone, the whole device is thrown away. Convenience is a big reason some people pick disposable kits, but if you’re interested in the perfect hit, you might want to look at a refillable unit. It all depends on your needs.

Different parts of vape devices

Whether they are disposable or refillable, vape e-cigarettes have a few components to be aware of:

  • Mouthpiece
  • Atomizer
  • Button

When you click the power button on the side of the device, the battery sends a signal to the atomizer (coil) and things start heating up. The size of the hit is determined by how hard you inhale. Some devices have adjustable airflow and can better regulate the size of the hit being taken too.

How do I use a vape pen?

Now that we know some of the basics of vaping, here is some guidance about how to get started.

First you have to pick the right vaping device. More specifically, the first thing you should do is decide if you want a disposable or refillable device. We have a wide selection of cartridges with a variety of different categories of flavor, including everything from fruit to dessert. Once you have the device picked out, look for a good flavor.

If you are using a refillable device, add your e-liquid into the pod or tank and let the liquid soak into the atomizer for about five minutes. The cotton in the coil is dry and needs to be saturated before using it for the first time. The lifespan of a coil varies user to user, but on average they last about two weeks before starting to affect the flavor of your vape liquid and not performing up to par. Once your atomizer begins to fail, you might have some burnt flavor rather than your tasty e-liquid!

If you are using a disposable device, those are usually good to go after taking them out of the package. They have a built in tank and atomizer than cannot be changed or refilled. Once that coil burns out it’s usually time to buy a new device.

That’s it! You have officially begun your vaping journey.
